Courses, walks and gatherings with nature

Inspired by the wisdom of earthly living.

Join me at an upcoming something in the forest, hills, parklands, nature reserves, and community green spaces across North West England, Cheshire and the Peak District.

Gather, connect and come to know the natural world around us. We begin to slow down and take notice, with practices encouraging us to journey deeper, rekindling our relationship with ourselves, our environment and one another. Discover how and why connecting with nature in these ways can support both our wellbeing and the health of our environment.

On this page you'll find Wellbeing and Nature programmes, woodland walks, collaborations with conservation and healthcare organisations, as well as Nature and Health training courses for facilitators. If you're looking for something you can't find, or would like to collaborate, please get in touch.

Nature, Health and Wellbeing Facilitator

For as long as I can remember, I've been exploring our relationship with the natural environment and opportunities to come together, connect and care for nature and one another. Whilst working at the Wildlife Trusts delivering Wellbeing with Nature, Greencare and Conservation programmes, I trained as an accredited Nature and Health Facilitator and went on to train as a Facilitator Trainer for NatureWell, supporting people and nature to recover and flourish together. I continue to study, research, learn about and put nature connection and holistic approaches to living into practice and collaborate with Natural Academy, the NHS, the Woodland Trust, the Land Trust, Cheshire Wildlife Trust, community groups, TCV and others. To get a taste of some of the courses I've delivered, see my Story Highlights @riseandwild.

Girl in the Woods

"If we remember that once upon a time we sang with the tongues of seals and flew with the wings of swans, that we forged our own paths through the dark forest while creating a community of its many inhabitants, then we will rise up rooted, like trees. And if we rise up rooted, like trees… [we] might indeed save not only ourselves, but the world".
